April 17th, 2025
Get inspired by the entrepreneurs and tastemakers who inspire us. This month’s feature: Cynthia Cook Smith, California-based wedding and wardrobe stylist, and former Vogue fashion editor.

MEET THE EDITOR
During her days at Vogue, Cynthia had a first-hand glance at everything from fashion shows to The Met Gala, dressing those around her for their special events. But when her friends got engaged and she noticed that the wedding industry lacked personalized styling services, she took her experience and turned it into a business. Fast forward almost ten years later, Cynthia styles her clients not just for their weddings, but also for their everyday lifestyle.

Her Method
Whether you’re planning your wedding, looking for a special event dress, or just trying to discover your personal style, take it straight from the source and follow Cynthia’s simple method.
Step 1
Identify your style icon. This is a great way to get a sense of your aesthetic.
Step 2
Chat with a wedding consultant, stylist, or even a friend to put your vision into words.
Step 3
Get inspired! Gather imagery, try on outfits, and schedule appointments.
